BUCYRUS — Information has been released regarding a single-vehicle rollover crash on Holmes Center Road on Monday morning.

At 7:08 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Holmes Center Road north of Wynford Local Schools between the U.S. 30 overpass and Quaker Road.

According to reports, a 16-year-old female was driving a Pontiac Sunfire southbound on her way to school when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned one time before coming to rest.

The girl was the only occupant in the vehicle. She was wearing her seatbelt and her airbags did deploy. She removed herself from the vehicle before deputies arrived on scene.

Though she did not complain of any injuries, she was transported by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service to Bucyrus Community Hospital for precautionary reasons.

Speed was not determined to be a factor in the crash and no citations were issued at that time.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lohr’s Towing and Recovery.

Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
