NEW WASHINGTON — The Buckeye Central teachers set out to try and be encouraging to their students during testing season.
During the Buckeye Central Board of Education meeting Thursday, board members were told how the school’s teachers wrote inspirational quotes in chalk on the sidewalk leading up to the school doors for students to see every day before they walk in.
Board members said they were pleased with the teachers’ efforts to show their students that they care and to make testing time a little bit easier for the students because it is a very stressful time in the school year.
Also during the meeting, the board received a thank you note from the music boosters for approving the purchase of new uniforms for the next marching band season.
The next board of education meeting is May 9 at 8 p.m.
