Press release
The Bucyrus Public Library will be celebrating “Antique Appraisal Day” and “Take Your Child to the Library Day” with a variety of programs on Saturday, February 4.
An Antique Appraisal Clinic for adults will be held in the lower level of the library from 11:00-1:00. The public is invited to bring in up to three (3) items to be appraised by our guest appraiser, local auctioneer Lyle Gebhardt. He will also be talking about the antiques brought in to the library. If patrons have larger items, photos are welcome.
The LEGO club will be meeting in the Children’s Room 10:00-12:00. It is open to any child kindergarten through sixth grade who loves to build with LEGOs. Those attending will spend the morning creating items using the LEGOs available on the library’s LEGO cart or youth are invited to bring their own LEGOs to the library. There will also be a variety of LEGO building books available.
Following the LEGO club there will be popcorn activities for all youth from 12:00-1:30 in the Children’s Room. This is a drop-in program with popcorn trivia, crafts, games, refreshments and more.
There is no charge for attending any of these programs. For more information about the Antique Appraisal Clinic contact Susan Keller and for LEGO club or Popcorn Day Activities contact Children’s Librarian Barbara Scott at 419-562-7327.
