Thursday morning the Junior Fair Dairy Show took place, and Sydnee Corwin walked away with three winning titles in hand. Corwin won Intermediate Showmanship, Grand Champion Holstein Female, and Grand Champion Overall of the Show.

Corwin has been a part of Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H Club for eight years. She started showing Dairy Cows about three or four years ago and this year was her first time winning Grand Champion Overall of the Show. When asking Corwin how she felt after winning Grand Champion Overall, she was quick to answer.

“It feels amazing! I just love showing her. She’s the best cow I think I’ve ever taken,” Corwin explained looking down at Wilma, her Grand Champion cow.

Corwin went onto describe what she felt made Wilma the best cow she has shown.

“She’s just like a puppy dog. She follows me around; she does everything I say. She’s just adorable!” Corwin explained.

Corwin also shows Dairy Feeder Calves. She explained how her inspiration for showing was her cousins who also were exhibitors. Corwin reminisced how she would go watch her cousins show and knew that she too wanted to jump into the showing life. She described how showing can bring many fulfilling moments.

“The most rewarding thing is all of the memories you make from it. I mean you walk them every day, you spend time with them, you always make time in your day to find them,” Corwin explained.

Taking home Reserve Champion Overall of the Show was another member of Dairy Maids and Gents, Lane Bauer. Senior Showmanship winner was Wynford FFA representative Shannon Crabtree.
