Suspicious person report leads to man’s arrest

BUCYRUS―A report of a suspicious person slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue led to the arrest of a Bucyrus man Wednesday evening.

At 7:46  p.m., officers responded to the call and arrested William Goble, 59, on charges of open container and physical control. He was issued his citation and summons then taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

12:43 p.m.-Officers investigated a minor accident in the area of Hopley and Prospect Streets.

2:29 p.m.-A report of a possible breaking and entering in the 200 block of East Charles Street was investigated.

3:05 p.m.-A person stopped at the station to report a hit and run incident.

3:19 p.m.-Officers assisted with a civil standby in the 400 block of Kaler Avenue.

3:30 p.m.-Officers took a theft report that occurred in the 600 block of North Sandusky Avenue.

3:36 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of juveniles throwing rocks at houses and cars in the 400 block of Hopley Avenue.

3:36 p.m.-A person stopped at the station to speak with an officer regarding a telecommunications scam.

5:39  p.m.-Officers did a welfare check in the 100 block of West Mary Street.

5:41  p.m.-Officers delivered a message in the 1000 block of Hopley Avenue.

7:16  p.m.-Officers investigated a suspicious person in the area of Plymouth and Wingert Streets.

8:24  p.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station about a civil matter.

9:24  p.m.-Officers attempted a standby in the 800 block of High Street.

10:07 p.m.-A disturbance in the 1300 block of Whetstone Street was investigated.

1:59 a.m.-A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 400 block of Heritage Circle.

3:44 a.m.-A disturbance in the 400 block of Charlotte Street was investigated.

5:03 a.m.-Brian Russell Jr, 27, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
