BUCYRUS—The suspect that fired shots at the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has been identified as 35-year-old David M. Vasquez from New Washington.
On Tuesday evening, Sheriff Deputies responded to Bucyrus Police Department and took custody of Vasquez, transporting him to the County Jail. His vehicle, a blue 2006 Toyota 4 door, was seized and secured at the Sheriff’s Office by Hensley’s Towing. After a search of the Sheriff’s Office buildings and grounds, it was discovered that the north side of the Sheriff’s Office building, two personal vehicles, and one cruiser had all been struck by gunfire. NO ONE was injured during this incident.

Vasquez is currently incarcerated and being held for investigative purposes. This incident remains under investigation.
In January, Vasquez was incarcerated at the Crawford County Jail on Domestic Violence charges.
