This Saturday, Sunset Springs RV Resort in Oceola will be honoring our real heroes who don’t wear capes with Hero Appreciation Day.  To kick off the festivities, all military and first responders who can present a form of ID will receive a 50-percent discount on camping as well as Buckeye Beach entry.

Various events will be held to honor those who risk their lives for us. From 2 to 4 p.m. there will be a static display from the local law enforcement, fire departments, Med Flight, and ambulance services.

The local law enforcement agencies will include Bucyrus Police Department, Bucyrus Fire Department, Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, and Wyandot East Fire Department. Military Recruiters will be present for the display as well.

In the evening, the campground’s annual Hotdogs on the Beach will be held. During that time there will be free hotdogs for all First Responders and Military Personnel. At the concession stand there will also be specials for everyone to enjoy.
