On Thursday, September 1, 2016, Mental Health & Recovery Services of Central Ohio, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation, and The Ohio State University at Mansfield will host a Suicide Awareness, Prevention and Remembrance event in Founder’s Auditorium on campus. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend. Sherry Branham, Director of External Operations for the Richland County Mental Health Board, believes it is time to raise awareness about suicide prevention, “Unfortunately, suicide too often occurs in young adults, and we want everyone in the community to know that help is available.”
