BUCYRUS—On Thursday evening, the Bucyrus board of education held their monthly meeting.
The Stoney’s Kind Kids for the month of October were honored for their kindness to others in and out of the classroom.
The students were Caleb Rimmer, Maddison McDaniel, Xander Clark, Timmy Evans, and Mecca Delvecchio.
Each month’s winners receive a t-shirt that says, “I’m a kind kid,” and a Subway gift card.
The board approved the retirement of Karen Kocher, who taught at Bucyrus Elementary for thirty-five years.
The board also approved the purchase of three new school buses for the district. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the district has the oldest licensed bus in the state with its 1988 bus.
The next meeting is on December 15 at 5:30 p.m.
