Several young Crawford County Fair participants displayed their talents and were judged worthy of competing at this year’s Ohio State Fair.
Sarah Wingert was named Best Senior Individual for Demonstration or Illustrated Talk. In the Junior Division, Jacob Jennings got the top award and will also go to the State Fair.
Also getting top recognition and qualifying for the state fair were Karson and Madelyn Kimmel as the top Junior Team.
Individuals aren’t the only ones receiving blue ribbons and recognition at the 159th edition of the Crawford County Fair. 4-H clubs were singled out for their booth displays.
Best Use of Theme went to the Mt. Zion Buckeyes while the Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers were cited for Best Display of Projects. The North Auburn Hustlers were named Most Creative, the Barnyard Guys and Gals the Most Eye Catching and Heartland Best Use of Color.
The North Robinson Blue Ribbons’ booth was named Most Original and the Liberty Leaders’ Most Artistic. The Dairy Maids and Gents received the award for Best Member/Advisor Tags.
