September 14 was a very important day at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bucyrus. It was “Rally Day” – the start of the congregation’s new Sunday School Year.
The kids were excited as they got promoted to the next grade level and class. The kids also performed a song together during the church service.
Also that day we installed the Sunday School teachers. Emily Buck, Cheryl Luidhardt, Susie Coffman, Darla Turner, Carla Koepke, and Dory Stirm are wonderful teachers, who along with others lead the children every week and they are truly indispensable.
Perhaps the most important event of that day in September was when the 4th graders were presented their Bibles from their parents. The congregation gifted these Bibles to them and the parents placed them in their childrens’ hands. Kids receiving their Bibles were Sophie Beck, Morgan Young, Caitlyn Karnes, and Samantha Hickman. The Bible presentation was led by Interim Pastor Jack Richards.
