BUCYRUS — Shoppers in the Bucyrus have one less option to purchase athletic gear and apparel.
Hibbett Sports, located in the strip mall near the intersection of East Mansfield Street and Stetzer Road, has closed its doors.
Local shoppers reported the store was open during the past weekend, and since packed its inventory and removed large signage above the store.
A sign was found on the store’s door advising potential patrons that the nearest store is in Mount Vernon. The sign said the company is honored to have served the community.
Crawford County Now staff attempted to receive a statement from the Hibbett public relations staff, which is in Birmingham, Alabama, but could not receive a response.
