Speaker of the Ohio House Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) will be speaking at a dinner honoring Abraham Lincoln to be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 4 at the Gospel Baptist Church, 5670 St. Rt. 19, Galion, Ohio. The Lincoln Dinner is being sponsored by Crawford County Republican Organizations in an effort to support the local community by providing opportunities to hear from state officials about relevant and timely issues that impact public policy in Ohio.

Speaker Rosenberger is currently serving his third term in the Ohio House. He represents the 91st District, which includes Clinton, Highland and Pike counties, as well as portions of Ross County. At the beginning of this year, his fellow representatives voted him to serve as Speaker for the 131st General Assembly. At 33, he is the third-youngest person to ever serve as Speaker of the House.

He is an Air Force veteran, having served in the 178th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard in Springfield, Ohio, as well as the 113th Fighter Wing of the District of Columbia.

Speaker Rosenberger also served as the national political events coordinator for Governor Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and he served as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Interior, Dirk Kempthorne.

A graduate of Clinton Massie High School in Clinton County, Speaker Rosenberger’s civic accomplishments in his hometown of Clarksville parallel his political and governmental accomplishments. One such accomplishment was the leadership demonstrated by Speaker Rosenberger in organizing an effort to establish a Clinton County Veteran’s Memorial in Wilmington.

The public and the Crawford County business community are welcome and encouraged to attend this event to learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing Ohio.
