There was a visitor at the Crestline Village Council meeting earlier this week and he had some interesting news to share with council members and the administration.
Steve Gregerson of Titan Solar Construction presented a proposal for solar power to provide electricity for village operations. The construction of the facility would be at no cost to the village and the electric power it provided would come at a cost of 10 cents per kilowatt hour which is well below what the village is paying for power supplied by Ohio Edison.
Given that utility rates are rising and a budget deficit has been projected, Village Council members are considering the idea.
Titan Solar Construction is based in California and works primarily in western states. Currently it has no projects in Ohio.
