An annual community service project is looking for some help and involvement. Socks for Seniors organizes collecting new socks that are distributed to area nursing homes throughout the winter holiday season.
The official kickoff for the 2014 Socks for Seniors Campaign began last Saturday and will run through Christmas. Socks for Senior is currently in need of and looking for area coordinators in the Bucyrus area to help with collecting socks for this year’s campaign.
Socks for Seniors does not solicit, take or collect money during this campaign. The organization does one thing: collect socks.
Those interested in helping with the project can be of service by hosting a sock drive. All socks collected will stay in the Bucyrus area. To collect socks, sign up online at www.socksforseniors.com.
