Numerous vehicles needed assistance throughout much of the day Friday as hazardous roadways from the blowing snow kept law enforcement, and towing garages busy throughout the day.

As a result of the treacherous roads, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office issued a Level 2 Snow Emergency early Friday morning which was downgraded to a Level 1 Snow Emergency by 11 a.m.

The Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported 32 slide-offs or crashes, of those 6 of the crashes had reports filed with only one minor injury.

While the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office didn’t report the number of accidents, they did mention that quite a few vehicles went into the ditch including a semi-truck that rolled onto its side during the morning hours at the intersection of 30 and 602.
