Bucyrus police have reported that at least one shot was fired during an attempted robbery on Cleland Avenue early Thursday morning. The incident is under investigation.

Captain Joe Greathouse said that the gun was in control of the suspect at all times and though it was fired, no one was injured.

“We have no suspects at this time,” Greathouse said. “The victims have no idea what this was about or who the suspect might be.”

Greathouse said from the description of the weapon relayed to police by the victims they believe the gun was a revolver. The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, six-feet tall who is heavy set. The individual was wearing a blue and gold hoodie, blue bandana and a blue stocking cap.

Police believe that a newer model Chevrolet Impala, dark in color, may have been involved as it was observed driving from the scene.

Bucyrus police are requesting that anyone with information regarding the incident call them at 419-562-1006.
