SHORES & ISLANDS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Shores & Islands Ohio, the destination marketing organization for Erie and Ottawa counties, has launched its all-new podcast, The SHORE Line. The podcast, developed by the organization’s marketing and sales team, is hosted by Public Relations Manager, Jill Bauer, with most episodes featuring co-host Dayton Barnett, Social Media Manager.
The SHORE Line aims to be the definitive podcast for the Shores & Islands Ohio region, offering listeners insider tips and behind-the-scenes interviews about local attractions and activities. Guests will include destination and attraction partners, event organizers, community representatives, and local experts.
Episodes will be edited and produced by Ottawa Broadcasting LLC/WPCR PortClintonRadio.com, which is also providing software services for recording, editing, production, and distribution. The podcast concept originated from a weekly segment on WPCR’s Talk at Ten, where Bauer and station President Greg Peiffer discuss upcoming regional events.
The SHORE Line Podcast made its debut on January 15 and is available on various streaming services, including Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, iHeart Radio, Tune In, and more, as well as on SHORESandISLANDS.com. New episodes are set to release weekly via an RSS feed on the organization’s website and on these platforms.
Shores & Islands Ohio Director of Marketing and Sales, Ben Simon, expressed excitement about the new venture, stating, “We’re thrilled to be entering the world of podcasting and using a new medium to reach both potential guests and interested locals.”
Public Relations Manager and podcast host, Jill Bauer, echoed this sentiment, adding, “I’m excited for the opportunity to showcase our amazing area to a new audience. Listeners will get tips for visiting and hear directly from business owners, managers, and event organizers what makes this destination so special.”
The second episode will feature Castaway Bay indoor water park resort. “We felt it important to lead with our indoor water park partners,” said Bauer. “As these cold Ohio temperatures keep us wanting to stay indoors, it’s important to remember we’ve got three amazing locations that boast summer temperatures year-round!”
New episodes will debut on Mondays via the various streaming platforms. Listeners can like and subscribe wherever they get their podcasts, or follow along weekly at The SHORE Line.
