08-26-14 marijuana eradicationIt may be nearing the end of summer but a number of law enforcement departments decided it was time to do a little spring cleaning.

Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, METRICH Enforcement Unit, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducted marijuana eradication in parts of Crawford County Tuesday. Deputies removed marijuana plants from areas in the city of Bucyrus and the northern part of Crawford County. A total of 465 plants with an estimated street value of $465,000 were seized and will be destroyed.

Two citations were issued for the cultivation of marijuana.
