Emergency crews from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department and Life Support Team EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury crash located on Ohio 19 north of Quaker Road March 29 at 6:48 p.m.

According to a report by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, a 2012 Honda Accord driven by 42-year-old Eric Adams of Bucyrus was southbound on Ohio 19 when lost control of his vehicle on the wet roadway. Adams’ vehicle entered the northbound lane of Ohio 19 and was struck by a 2016 Ford Escape driven by 67-year-old Brenda Young of Bloomville.

The Crawford County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and Adams was pronounced dead.

Young was transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital for her injuries suffered in the crash.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
