NEWS RELEASE:
On Dec. 11, 2017 at 7:14 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a telephone call in regards to a skid loader falling on top of someone.
Deputies from the sheriff’s office and members from the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department and Life Support Ambulance Service responded to a residence in Liberty Township in Crawford County.
It was reported that that someone was performing mechanical work on a skid loader and it was discovered upon deputies’ arrival that 57-year-old Dale H. Shawk was performing mechanical work on a skid loader in a barn and the skid loader fell on him.
The Crawford County Coroner’s Office was notified and Shawk was pronounced deceased at the scene and the matter is still under investigation.
