One person was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Ohio 4, south of Bucyrus, Sunday evening.

Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department and Portsmouth Ambulance Service were dispatched to the crash that occurred at 9:22 p.m., north of the intersection of Ohio 4 and Scioto Chapel Road.

It was originally reported that a vehicle had flipped and struck a power pole but upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered a red 2005 Dodge Neon off the west side of the roadway with severe damage and no power poles were struck or damaged.

Katelyn L. Sutter, 23, Marion, was taken by the Portsmouth Ambulance Service to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries she sustained in the crash. She was later released.

Oceola Garage towed the vehicle from the scene and alcohol or drug use is not suspected. Sutter told deputies that she was reaching for something in her vehicle prior to the crash. She was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
