Two out-of-county men who chose to do commit crimes in Crawford County were sentenced to community control following their guilty pleas in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Thursday.
Twenty-four-year-old Jessie McCurrie, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, finally had his day in court. Galion police arrested McCurrie on Oct. 15 after responding to a burglary in progress at Speedway on Harding Way West. A call a few hours later from the Galion Community Hospital concerning a suspicious person on the property led officers to locate McCurrie. Upon further investigation officers arrested him for the Speedway burglary.
McCurrie pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, in Common Pleas Court Thursday morning. He was placed on community control and must complete any recommended treatment.
Fifty-six-year-old Eldon Craft of Shelby pleaded guilty to a felony five drug possession charge. He was placed on community control for three years and must complete any recommended treatment.
Travis Ratliff, 32, of North Robinson, was granted judicial release Thursday. He was placed on community control for three years. Ratliff had been serving time on a third-degree felony charge of having weapons under disability.
