For the first time in the program’s history, the Bucyrus High School vocal music department presented students with Choir Awards. Students received their awards during the High School Choir Concerts and Awards program May 14.

Awards given included the choir letter, first choir pin and second choir pin.  Seniors were also recognized for their involvement in the vocal music program.

Students receiving awards included:

  • Rose Buckelew – choir letter, first choir pin
  • Kaycee Charleston – choir letter
  • Kayla Hopkins – choir letter, first choir pin, second choir pin
  • Nathan Johns – choir letter
  • Ashley Keener – choir letter, first choir pin
  • Logan Kissling – choir letter
  • Sophie McAdams – choir letter
  • Zackary Patterson – choir letter
  • Brianna Predieri – choir letter
  • Ashley Purcell – choir letter, first choir pin
  • Jenna Sabo – choir letter, first choir pin
  • Kayleigh Seiber – choir letter
  • Alex Sprague – choir letter, first choir pin
  • Austin Stevens – choir letter, first choir pin, second choir pin
  • Aaron Stilwell – choir letter

“The lettering system was implemented to reward students for their hard work outside of regular rehearsals and performances,” Bucyrus Director of Choirs Nickie French said. “It is also a good recruitment and retention tool for our programs.”
