BUCYRUS—The Crawford County Council on Aging will return to the Crawford County Fair this year to offer their annual senior event. This year’s event will have a western theme and will be the COA’s first fair event since 2019.

“This will be our 36th senior event at the county fair,” said COA executive director Cassie Herschler. “The seniors really look forward to this and our staff is excited to once again be able to offer this fun and entertaining day.

Seniors ages 60 and older may reserve a ticket to the event by calling the Council on Aging at 419-562-3050. Tickets are required for the event, which features live entertainment, a meal provided by ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehab, vendors and door prizes.

“Every year the seniors look forward to hearing Randy Velez perform. I’m so happy we were able to bring him back to the fair and for Carlisle Place sponsoring his performance,” Herschler said.

Additional entertainment includes Lesley Tuscan McCray and Strut Your Stuff Dance Troupe.

“This will be my first fair event since joining the Council on Aging in 2020,” said activities coordinator Courtney Moody. “I’ve very excited to see all of our plans come to life. Only thing left for me to do is find a cowgirl hat to wear to fit our western theme.”

Sponsorship opportunities for this event are still available. Call 419-562-3050 for details.
