CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On October 31, 2024, at approximately 10:13 AM, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a vehicle crash on US-30, just east of State Route 598. Deputies and other first responders were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a semi-truck had collided with a disabled vehicle on the roadside in the eastbound lane. One of the occupants of the disabled vehicle had been attempting repairs outside when the vehicle was struck, while another occupant was inside the vehicle. Both occupants displayed signs of injury and were transported by EMS to Galion Avita Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

The incident remains under investigation, with no suspicion of alcohol or drug involvement. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received assistance at the scene from the Jefferson Township Fire Department, Crestline Fire Department, and Ronk’s Towing.
