The Bucyrus High School Science Club will host a blood drive from 7:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Dec. 9, in the middle school gymnasium. Students interested in donating must be at least 16 years old with parental permission and a valid ID or donor card.

The Science Club hopes members of the community will come out and show their support and help them reach their goal. “The Red Cross is always in need of blood donations, and we are happy to help,” Science Club advisor Amanda Kent said. “We (science club) have a year long goal of collecting 200 units for the Red Cross, and we hope the students and community will help us help the Red Cross.”

All donors will receive a Subway gift card for a free six-inch sub. To schedule an appointment, contact Kent at (419) 562-7721 ext.1208, or call 1-800-RED CROSS. Those interested can also register online at www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code “bucyrushs.” Walk-ins are welcome. You can make a difference. Help save a life!
