NEW WASHINGTON — The Buckeye Central Local Schools Board of Education soon will be releasing information regarding the new facilities district administrators are wanting to soon build.

The new additions will be a bus garage and a preschool wing. The board decided to go ahead with the decision once the projected forecast for the project was in place. Further information will be in a press release.

In the first week of June, Buckeye Central’s track is going to be resurfaced, and the project is expected to take a couple of weeks.

End of the year events at Buckeye Central include a senior honors dinner May 13 at 6 p.m. followed by the academic awards at 7:30 p.m.

Graduation is set for Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m. and the last day of school for all students other than seniors will be Wednesday, May 22 and there will be an early dismissal at 1:38 p.m.

The next board meeting is June 11 and will be a work session. A regular board meeting is June 27 at 7 p.m. in the library.
