Senator Dave Burke has announced that the City of Bucyrus is the beneficiary of a State of Ohio Grant for $125,000 for the permanent stage at Schines Art Park.
Schines Art Park has been a model for state and local cooperation and has turned a blighted corner of downtown Bucyrus into one of the most unique parks in all of Ohio.
The addition of the permanent stage on the east end of the park will be host to concerts, plays and other events during the year. Development of the stage design will begin soon.
Mayor Jeff Reser expressed his gratitude to Senator Burke and Representative McClain for their support of this worthwhile project.
