Press release

Sara Misura, a junior at Galion High School, was recently selected as the January 2016 Student of the Month. The positive character trait for January at GHS was “compassion.”

Sara is currently a member of the GHS Academic Challenge team. She also takes courses through the High School’s College Credit Plus program.

“Being named Galion High School Student of the Month means that I am being a good student role model and all my hard work is starting to pay off,” Misura said. “I am very proud to say that I am Galion High School’s Student of the Month.”

Outside of school, Sara rescues and trains horses, which she shows in 4H along with S&B Performance Horses in Bucyrus.

“Sara is incredibly deserving of this recognition,” High School Principal Ron Williams said. “She is truly a compassionate person and is a positive role model for our students at GHS.”

After graduating from GHS, she plans to attend college and double major in pre-veterinary medicine and equestrian studies. Sara plans to continue on to veterinary school to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis in equine medicine and surgery.
