A drive through Uptowne Galion provides a view of many charming storefronts, and on Tuesday, a new site was added to the lineup.
Behind the window emblazoned with the name “Sammy’s Find It All” lies a charming array of antiques, collectables, and more, inviting anyone who passes by to come in and see what more this new business has to offer.
To pass through the doors, which will be open every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is to browse an array of items that took two years to collect from a myriad of auctions and websites. The space is open and inviting, and Monday morning was a celebration of its initiation into the community as the city ribbon was officially cut.
Standing at the helm of Sammy’s Find It All is Samantha Steele, her husband, Jimmy, and their five children. Despite some nerves, Steele was excited to officially christen the store that has been a dream for quite some time.
“I’ve wanted a store like this,” Steele said, “Over the years I had planned for it and talked about it and it just never happened, but I got with my husband three years ago and we just went forward with it and here we are today.”
Steele, who has always loved garage sales and thrift stores, thinks that what sets Sammy’s Find It All apart is that which resembles aforementioned sales and stores; a wide variety and affordable prices. Even more than that, though, is the personal touch that the family behind the counter adds to the experience.
“When they come in, we conversate (sic),” Steele states, “We get to meet new people.”
A crowd gathered outside of Sammy’s Find It All at 9 on Tuesday morning to witness the moment the ribbon was snipped. Among the group were many representatives of the City of Galion and, once Sammy’s Find It All was officially open for business, the Steele family was welcomed to the Galion business community.
Sammy’s Find It All is located at 112 Harding Way East in Galion.
