The sugary-high from the Bucyrus Rotary Pancake Day culminated Thursday for a few special people.

Rotary Club member Tami Tima presented checks and certificates to five individuals. The Rotary made $9,000 in profit from the 43rd Annual Rotary Pancake Day, which had been held on Feb. 13.

Toni Ridge won the top prize from the raffle: $1,000 donated by Spreng Capital Management – Jim Spreng and Tom Brown. AuctionFest, represented by Terry Gernert, won second place, which featured a 16 inch pizza from Pisanello’s Pizza for a month for a year. Betty Ebbeskotte won a 13 inch pizza from Pisanello’s each month for a year.

Sarah Chapman, Brenda Breyley, and Nick Vasil each won $250, provided by J&F Construction, FCBank, and Advanced Fiber Technology.

“On behalf of the Bucyrus Rotary Club and Pancake Day Committee, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous sponsors and volunteers who helped make our Pancake Day a success,” Tima said. “Each sponsor and volunteer is essential to this community gathering that highlights good food and fellowship. We also want to thank all those who purchased tickets and attended our event and the many Rotary members who made the event possible.”
