BUCYRUS — A one-vehicle rollover crash resulted in at least one individual being taken to the hospital Monday.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the driver lost control of the vehicle in the 4700 block of Crestline Road. The beige sedan had been traveling eastbound when it left the south edge of the roadway and went into the ditch. The vehicle appeared to have then veered across the road and struck a north side embankment and utility pole and rolled onto it’s side.

At least one victim was transported from the scene by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service. Emergency crews had called for a medical helicopter, though it has not been confirmed whether the victim was subsequently flown to a trauma center. It is unknown at this time if there were any other occupants in the vehicle.

In addition to Portsmouth EAS, other responding agencies included the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Whetstone Township Fire Department.

The crash is currently under investigation.
