The Stellar Robotics Club participated in its first competition last week and earned a trip to St. Louis. The club and its robot named Guido took part in the Pittsburgh Regional of the 2015 Recycle Rush Games.

Stellar, which is comprised of 10 students from several North Central Ohio schools including Crestline and Galion, took sixth out of 54 teams in Pittsburgh.

More impressively, the team finished highest among “rookie teams” and was named a Rookie All-Star. That qualified them to take part in the national competition in late April that will be held in St. Louis. There they will be among 600 teams from 17 countries.

Next up for the Stellar Robotics Club is the Buckeye Regional later this month in Cleveland.
