BUCYRUS — Wise Funeral Service is pleased to announce the addition of Megan Ricketts to the firm’s staff of licensed funeral directors.
Ricketts attended Bowling Green State University where she earned her Associate of Science and holds a Bachelor of Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
She looks forward to working with David Wise, the fifth generation of founder William Wise’s family and the firm’s current president, and Nate Roshon who has been associated with the funeral home since 2003 and a funeral director since 2010.
“Growing up I always enjoyed helping others,” Ricketts said. “During my time at Bowling Green, I learned about funeral service and discovered a profession where I can continue to help others during a difficult time in their life. I look forward to using my experience to serve the Bucyrus community and growing as a professional under the guidance of Wise Funeral Service.”
Wise said Ricketts is the perfect fit for his family’s business.
“I’m looking forward to the youthful outlook Megan will bring to our community and our funeral home,” Wise said. “As she learns more about our community, I am sure they will find her a great addition and welcome her to care for the families we are privileged to serve.”
Outside of work, Ricketts enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. She recently moved to Bucyrus from Wooster where she served her apprenticeship.
She is the daughter of Greg and Anne Ricketts of Findlay.
