BUCYRUS—The unofficial final results indicate a shift in the Republican Central Committee.
Bucyrus Mayor Jeff Reser (38 votes)has lost his seat on the committee to Chris Mauritz (66 votes).
Former Bucyrus Council President Kurt Fankhauser (74 Votes) ousted longstanding member Sis Love (59 votes).
Kurt Fankhauser issued a statement thanking those that voted for him; “I look forward to serving you on the Republican Central Committee. We are starting to make a change in Crawford County.”
Republican Central Committee member Eric Griebling (148 votes) retained his seat against opponent Carolyn Shireman (44 votes). Larry Schmidt (175 votes) retained his seat against opponent William Allonas (41 votes). Kay Weisenauer (146 votes) edged out over Doug Weisenauer (108 votes).
Unofficial final results indicate Republican County Commissioner Tim Ley easily retained his seat with 2,798 votes compared to Dale Wolfe with 1,632 votes and Corey Orewiler with 1,111 votes.
The Crawford Park District levy was renewed with 4,458 votes for the levy and 2,434 against.
In Galion, the unofficial final results for a seat on the Republican Central Committee favored Keith Moore (43 votes) over Amber Wertman (26 votes).
