MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Renaissance Performing Arts Association will continue its popular Teddy Bear Concert Series with a musical production of “Jack and the Beanstalk” on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.

The performance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Theatre 166, located at 166 Park Ave. West, adjacent to the historic Renaissance Theatre. Specifically designed for children ages 2–10 and their families, the production offers a musical reimagining of the classic fairy tale, following Jack’s journey to encounter a giant and discover his own courage.

Part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series, the Teddy Bear Concerts are crafted to be an accessible introduction to live performance. The series features a relaxed atmosphere with low sound levels and sensory-friendly accommodations, which are supported by the Gorman-Rupp Company.

“Whether it’s your child’s first theater experience or they’re already budding theater lovers, Teddy Bear Concerts are designed to spark joy and curiosity,” said Dauphne Maloney, Renaissance Education Manager and Teaching Artist. “Jack and the Beanstalk is the perfect way to introduce young audiences to the magic of live performance.”

The series is presented in partnership with Nationwide Children’s and emphasizes audience participation and imagination. Families are encouraged to bring their children’s favorite stuffed animals to join in the adventure.

Tickets for the performance are $5. They can be purchased through the Renaissance Box Office by calling 419-522-2726 or online at rentickets.org.
