MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Renaissance Performing Arts Association is inviting students in grades 2 through 12 to enroll in the 2026 Renaissance Youth Opera Theatre (RYOT) Workshop Showcase. Directed by Lori Turner, this educational program is part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series and is designed to boost young performers’ creativity, vocal technique and stage confidence.

The workshop begins Jan. 6, 2026, with sessions leading up to a public showcase performance in February at Theatre 166.

The RYOT Workshop focuses on personalized instruction and ensemble work, allowing participants to collaborate with guest professionals in one-on-one and small group settings. The program is separated into two age groups—grades 2-6 and grades 7-12—to ensure tailored coaching appropriate for each student’s experience level.

The program culminates in a fully staged public showcase, featuring scenes and musical numbers from a mix of classic and contemporary theatrical works.

“RYOT provides a wonderful opportunity for young performers to grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment,” said RYOT Director Lori Turner. “Every student has the chance to shine while discovering the joy of theatre.”

Registration for the 2026 RYOT Workshop Showcase is open, but space is limited. Interested students and parents can register or learn more by contacting Lori Turner at lori@mansfieldtickets.com. Additional information is available at rentickets.org.
