GALION—A report of a reckless driver who almost hit another vehicle in the 400 block of Hensley Avenue led to the arrest of a man by the Galion Police Department early Sunday morning.

Ryan T. Beal, 22, Galion, was arrested for failure to comply with the order of signal of a police officer while eluding and fleeing and driving under suspension enforcement when he was apprehended in the area. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.

10:17 a.m.-A man was arrested for an assault that happened in the 400 block of Libby Lane by Mansfield Police after he fled there after the incident occurred.

10:40 a.m.-Galion Police detectives assisted probation officers in the 100 block of Fortney Avenue. Kyle W. Patrick was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia.

11:58 a.m.-Officers assisted a Crawford County Probation Officer in arresting Brittany A. Bassett, 33, Galion, at the Rainbow Motel on drug-related charges and an Ontario Police Department warrant. She was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

3:15 p.m.-A report of a fight between juveniles at Heise Park was investigated.

5:37 p.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in the 100 block of Third Avenue. Richard C. Meck was issued a citation for the right of way at intersections.

6:22 p.m.-A resident reported money stolen from their bank account by someone they know.

8:12 p.m.-A woman was taken into custody by officers after a report by Galion Community Hospital.

10:09 p.m.-Dalea G. Hawkins, 60, Mount Gilead, was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 600 block of Harding Way East.

12:30 a.m.-A report of juveniles drinking alcohol at Heise Park was investigated. One person was arrested for underage consumption and released to a guardian.

1:12 a.m.-A report of juveniles being loud outside in the Gill Avenue area was investigated. One person was issued a warning to keep the noise down for the night.

2:18 a.m.-A report of juveniles hiding in the woods at Amick’s reservoir was investigated and their parents were contacted.

3:22 a.m.-Officers assisted the Cleveland Police Department in searching a residence in the 100 block of Third Avenue for two missing juveniles. The juveniles were not located.

6:51 a.m.-A report of a suspicious male in the 300 block of South Market Street was investigated.

9:37 a.m.-A report of juveniles attempting to break into a vehicle and banging on a resident’s door in the Cherry Street area was investigated.

3:47 p.m.-A report of a male refusing to wear a mask at Galion Community Hospital was investigated. The male left prior to the officers’ arrival.

3:53 p.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in the 700 block of Harding Way West.

5:04 p.m.-A report of juveniles harassing a resident in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street was investigated.

5:58 p.m.-A report of juveniles up in a tree at Heise Park was investigated.

6:38 p.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile in the 200 block of Fellow Street was investigated.

9:51 p.m.-A report of a domestic dispute was investigated in the 500 block of Galion Arms. Demein D. Lind, 35, Sheffield, was arrested for assault and aggravated menacing and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.

11:26 p.m.-A report of a loud party in the 500 block of Elmwood Drive was investigated. The party was moved indoors.

12:21 a.m.-Lacy M. Jackson, 34, Galion, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension in the 900 block of Dawsett Avenue.

2:15 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted on a juvenile in the 300 block of Pershing Avenue. The juvenile was fine but both parents were issued warnings for telecommunications harassment against each other. Markus A. McClure, 32, was issued a court date on a warrant.

9:40 a.m.-A South Boston Street resident reported a woman in a black SUV watching their children while they were outside playing then sped away when the parent came outside. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

12:32 p.m.-A Fifth Avenue resident reported being threatened by people they know. Three males involved were issued warnings for trespassing.

6:11 p.m.-A report of a domestic dispute was investigated in the 200 block of East Payne Avenue.

10:07 p.m.-Officers attempted to locate a female who was accused of damaging property in the 500 block of Harding Way East.
