BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Success Center in Bucyrus was buzzing with energy on Friday, November 7, as almost 100 community members attended the Rapid Response Hiring Event, hosted by the North Central State College Foundation and the Crawford Success Center.
The event was designed to connect local job seekers with employers ready to hire. A wide range of companies were represented — including ArcelorMittal (Shelby and Marion), Avita, Bucyrus Blades, Central Ohio Industrial Park, Elliott Machine, Eagle Crusher, Hord’s, Jobs & Family Services, North Central State College (LPN and Phlebotomy programs), Ohio Mutual, Ohio Means Jobs, Phillips Tubing, Praise Church, RMC, Scrapes by Sarah, Spherion Staffing, the State Highway Patrol, Timken, and MOESC, among others. Attendees had the chance to explore diverse career paths and opportunities close to home.

Throughout the event, job seekers engaged in meaningful conversations, participated in on-the-spot interviews, and even celebrated immediate job offers. The positive energy and strong turnout reflected the community’s commitment to supporting local workforce needs and helping one another succeed.
“The response from both employers and attendees was incredible,” said organizers from the Crawford Success Center. “It’s inspiring to see our community come together to connect talent with opportunity.”

The event showcased what can be achieved when a community unites around growth, opportunity, and shared success.
Organizers and staff expressed pride in how the community came together to make the event a success. “I really enjoyed helping with the event — seeing everyone come in ready to connect with employers and willing to put themselves out there,” said Crystal. “It was such a great reminder of how strong and supportive our community is. I’m grateful to be part of something that helps bring people together and creates real opportunities right here at home.”
