Press release

Raigan White, a freshman at Galion High School, was selected as the April 2017 Student of the Month. The positive character trait for April at GHS was “showing honesty.”

White was selected from a group of more than 20 of her peers at GHS. Those students nominated for April 2017 Student of the Month included: Jessica Anderson, Evan Barker, Jarod Bennett, Caleb Butler, Natalie Conkel, Kaila Davis, Zakai Edgington, Alan Evans, Kiersten Gifford, Kayley Gimbel, Marisa Gwinner, Jose Hart, Lauren Huggins, Kiana Moulton, Shae Ness, Brooklyn Potter, David Riddle, Dani Schieber, Tyler Scott, Colten Skaggs, Brandon Stevens, Bri Streib, Kathleen Tischer, Raina Wiedrich and Caiden Wyatt.

“Being selected as the Student of the Month was a very pleasant surprise,” said White. “It’s nice to be recognized as a good student.”

Following graduation, Raigan plans to enroll in a four-year college. Her career plans will lead her to law school, where White will pursue her Juris Doctorate to become a criminal lawyer.

“Raigan shows honesty towards other students and staff members every day, and is a good role model for students,” said High School Principal Ron Williams. “She is very deserving of this honor and I am excited to see what the future holds for her.”
