The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Marion and Crawford Counties will hold its annual meeting on Monday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion-Waldo Road, Marion. The event is open to the public, and dinner will be provided free of charge. Highlights will include accomplishments of the past year, goals and projects planned for the coming year, and ways people can get involved with the organization to help end the stigma associated with mental illness.
This year’s guest speaker will be Brad DeCamp, new associate director of the Crawford-Marion Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board. He will share his past experience, particularly in the mental health field, as well as some ideas for the future of the local NAMI affiliate.
The general membership of NAMI Marion and Crawford Counties will have the opportunity to vote on two new board members at the meeting. All attendees are welcome to stay for the regular monthly board meeting immediately following the annual meeting.
