The Bucyrus City Council has scheduled a public hearing on Tuesday, June 30 to consider several amendments to the Sign Code of the Bucyrus City Zoning Ordinance. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. This public hearing is in accordance with Bucyrus Codified Ordinances 1125.06, 1145.06 and Ohio Revised Code 713.12.

The Bucyrus City Platting Committee has recommended amendments to the Sign Code of the Bucyrus City Zoning Ordinance sections:

  • 1191.02 Definitions
  • 1191.03 Prohibited signs
  • 1191.06 Signs which do not require a permit
  • 1191.07 General requirements – temporary signs
  • 1191.08 General requirements – permanent signs
  • 1191.09 Nonconforming signs

The proposed zoning changes shall be on file for public examination in the office of the Zoning Administrator at City Hall.

That same evening there will also be a special Platting Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of Bucyrus City Hall, 500 S Sandusky Ave, Bucyrus. The special meeting is called by Richard Rockwell Chairperson, Wanda Sharrock and Steve Pifer. The purpose of the special meeting will be to discuss the amendments to the Sign Code of the Bucyrus City Zoning Ordinance. Council President Love referred the topic to the Platting Committee.
