BUCYRUS — Several people appeared both in person and via video to answer allegations that they violated the terms and conditions of their community control and there was one arraignment in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Wednesday.
Cheris Morczek, 34, of Prospect is accused of violating her probation after she tested positive this morning for methamphetamines and amphetamines during an office visit with adult probation.
Magistrate Timothy Roston, sitting in for Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold heard this morning’s cases. Morczek pleaded with Roston for another chance. She told the court she had abided by all the conditions of her community control since 2019.
Morczek pleaded guilty in 2019 to criminal nonsupport, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison. She advised the court that she had just completed initiation to work at Honda.
“Well I hope they don’t conduct drug tests because you’re in trouble if they do,” Roston said.
When asked how she’d been behaving on community control, probation officer Eric Bohach said they had some issues getting her to the office from her home in Prospect. He also expressed concern that she might be spiraling out of control because meth use is exploding in the area.
Roston ordered the matter set for a full hearing and appointed attorney Tani Eyer to represent her.
“You begged for one chance and you had one chance. I am going to give you a second chance. You are testing every day,” Roston said. “If you come back, Judge Leuthold is not going to be happy with you. You better show up every day. I don’t want to hear that you don’t have a ride. Get a ride. You’re using excuses because you’re using drugs.”
Tiffany Eaches, 29, of Nevada is charged with refusing to submit to a drug screen, failing to report to her supervising officer as instructed, and failing to report contact with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
In November 2016, Eaches pleaded guilty to one count of theft and nine counts of forgery, each fifth-degree felonies and each punishable with up to one year in prison. In July 2018, she was removed from community control and placed in a community-based corrections facility where she completed drug and alcohol treatment. She was then returned to community control for five years.
Roston ordered the matter set for a full hearing and bond was set at $10,000. Attorney Neil Huggins was appointed to represent Eaches.

Rowalt pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs, each fifth-degree felonies and each punishable with up to one year in prison. She was placed on community control but violated probation and was sent to prison in July 2019. She was granted judicial release in May and placed on community control.
Roston ordered the matter set for a full hearing, with bond set at $25,000. Attorney Tom Nicholson was appointed to represent her.
