Former Ohio State University and New York Giants football standout and Columbus sports commentator Jimmie Bell will be the featured speaker at the next Men’s Prayer Breakfast. The breakfast is set for 7 a.m. on Jan. 13 at Bucyrus Community Hospital Cafeteria.

Bell was the 1992 USA Today Top High School Defensive lineman from Youngstown, Ohio. While at The Ohio State University, Bell was part of the defensive squad of the Rose Bowl Champion Team of 1997. He was on teams that earned two Big Ten Championships and graduated from OSU with degrees in Criminal Psychology and Criminology.

Bell was an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in 1999, and later was the first pick of the NFL Europe Draft to the Frankfort Galaxy, finishing with the Berlin Thunder. He finished his football career with the San Diego Chargers in 2000.

Today, Bell is a sports analyst for Fox ABC Columbus TV 6’s The Buckeye Fever Show, Fox 28 News and ABC 6 News.
