BUCYRUS — A power outage darkened the east side of Bucyrus and into the rural area east of the city Monday morning.
A representative of the Bucyrus Police Department said no known cause has been identified, but the department has been in contact with AEP Ohio.
AEP Ohio does not know the cause either but has dispatched a crew to search for the cause.
According to the AEP Ohio outage website, the outage occurred at 9:53 a.m. and is affecting more than 1,300 customers.
The website has an estimated restoration time of 1:30 p.m. That, however, is subject to change.
