Even though the beginning of the school year is just around the corner, the town’s swimming hole occupies a spot on the Galion City Council agenda.

City Council will conduct a regular meeting on Tuesday and among the four pieces of legislation scheduled for a vote will be an amendment to the ordinance governing pool rates. That issue is slated for a first reading.

Up for a third and final reading is an ordinance pertaining to shooting arrows in an annexed part of the city.

Items scheduled for a second reading include two ordinances affecting the pensions of Galion fire and police personnel.
