Chalk up another one in the win column for the boys in blue.

A Bucyrus police officer responded to a theft in progress at Walmart Tuesday afternoon. The suspect, 36-year-old Chad W. Spears, had exited the store and had reportedly absconded with numerous cellular phones before getting in a vehicle.

Spears was located a short time later and arrested for theft, possession of a drug abuse instrument, and an active warrant. Also arrested was the passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Jessica Steensland, on a warrant out of Richland County. Spears and Steensland were transported to the Crawford County Justice Center with Steensland awaiting transport to Richland County.

A report of drug abuse and a disturbance led officers to arrest 60-year-old Steven Russell in the 400 block of E. Charles St. Tuesday evening. Russell had a Crawford County warrant out for his arrest. He was transported to the county jail to be held.

A short while later officers investigated a complaint of a physical altercation between two men on W. Galen St. Twenty-two-year-old Gregory Schilling was arrested on a warrant out of Crawford County and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.

Nineteen-year-old Jacob Morgan was arrested at 10:39 p.m. Tuesday night for possession of drug paraphernalia when the police department received a report of a man sitting in the roadway near Bucyrus Plaza. Morgan was issued a criminal summons and released with a court date.

Amillia C. Mulvane, 24, was arrested for domestic violence early Wednesday morning. She was also transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for an appearance in court.

Arrested earlier this week were 26-year-old Jordan Partlow for criminal trespassing and 36-year-old Michelle Webb on a Crawford County warrant.
