MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield Division of Police is advising residents and motorists of significant road closures and expected traffic delays this weekend due to the Inkcarceration Music and Tattoo Festival. The event is scheduled to take place at the historic Ohio State Reformatory.
The primary closure will be Olivesburg Road, also known as State Route 545, which will be shut down from 7 a.m. on Friday, July 18, until 4 a.m. on Monday, July 21.
Police also warn of temporary road closures and lane changes each night of the festival to allow vehicles to exit the parking lots. These will affect North Main Street (State Route 13) and 5th Avenue at U.S. 30.
Due to the high volume of attendees, officials anticipate major traffic congestion from Friday morning through early Monday morning. The areas expected to be most heavily impacted include:
- State Route 13 from Harker Street to Harrington Memorial Road.
- State Route 545 between Wayne Street and Piper Road.
- East Longview Avenue between North Main Street and Olivesburg Road.
- U.S. 30 in both directions between U.S. Route 42 and North Trimble Road.
Local motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the festival-related traffic throughout the weekend.
