UPDATE: Because of the likelihood of inclement weather both Tuesday evening and Wednesday the Pioneer Community Service Day has been moved to Friday.
Students from the Pioneer Career and Technology Center will once again return to their communities for the annual Community Service Day.
Over 900 students will participate in various service projects that include painting at area schools, cleaning parks, decorating nursing homes, school and church ground clean-ups, police and fire station vehicle cleaning, library projects and more. This year’s service day has been scheduled for Friday. Students will return to their home school communities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pioneer SkillsUSA officers organized and facilitated this year’s event with assistant from other student organizations like BPA, FFA, FCCLA and HOSA.
